Wood flooring options are greater now than they were thirty years ago due to advancements in technology and tree farming. Reclaimed, River Recovered, New Finishes, Sanding Equipment, Engineering and numerous new applications are now within your reach. Distressed and aged flooring has increased in popularity as the demand seems to require a look of distinction or historic significance without damaging our environment. We can produce the widest planks available that Mother Nature offers in most species taken from old timber or approved government cuttings. We also keep up with natural disasters where mud slides, earthquakes or storms take down large trees and secure them s much as possible.

Decorative Flooring offers both domestic and exotic pre-finished flooring as well as unfinished flooring. Unfinished Floors can be controlled at the job site and allows for a tighter, flatter and a more personal stain or finish that you determine. Pre-finished wood flooring offers the luxury of being ready to install and saving time. Their popularity is a result of numerous perfectly applied coats of factory finish and availability. Pre-finished floors can be installed one day and used the next. No sanding, dust or fumes to worry with but they are more expensive than unfinished of course.

Solid wood floors Versus Engineered wood floors from the surface look the same but underneath there is a vast difference and we offer both. The application should play a significant role in determining which you select from. For example, in a basement or areas where moisture is a concern, engineered should be used as it has a protective substrate whereas a solid is exposed directly to the subfloor. Engineered wood floors have a surface wear layer normally thinner than solids and therefore the solid will typically have a longer life. You must pay attention to the surface wear layer on engineered as some are thin as paper and can not be refinished. We recommend that you have a minimum of 3mm surface wear life on and engineered but we can offer up to 5mm thickness hinged on specie.
